As a member of the Consortium of Women’s and Gender Studies Institutions in Berlin (afg; in German), the Margherita von Brentano Center was involved in planning the discussion event "Gender Studies meets Politics – Politics Meets Gender Studies" on 25 May 2016 at the Berlin House of Representatives.

At the panel on media and digitization, Margreth Lünenborg, Heike Pantelmann, and Anita Runge discussed gender implications of new media with interested parties from government and academia. The event provoked strong interest from both participants and the press (article in German).
