Vidisha is a social scientist with over 5 years of research and multi-stakeholder project management experience as an Associate Fellow and Gender Lead at the Observer Research Foundation, one of India's leading think tanks. She completed her Msc. in Gender, Development, and Globalisation from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK.

Vidisha is a member of the Women20 (W20) Network and the Think Tank 20 (T20) Digital Economy Task Force of the G20 countries. She represented India at the W20 Berlin Summit (2017) and W20 Tokyo Summit (2019). Previously, she was a fellow with the Managing Global Governance Programme of the German Development Institute (DIE) and the German Federal Foreign Office’s International Futures Programme. Most recently, Vidisha is also associated with the Weizenbaum-Institut für die vernetzte Gesellschaft (German Internet Institute) where she worked on context-specific gender-responsive scenarios for the future of learning in the digital age.

Her research focuses on how local socio-cultural norms interact with, get replicated, or transform with new technologies in emerging economies. Vidisha has over 30 publications on platforms such as Economics E-Journal, Routledge Books, and the World Economic Forum (WEF) as well as international media platforms.
