Open Call for Best Practices in Gender- and Diversity-Conscious Teaching in Higher Education: August 24th – October 15th

News vom 04.09.2026

In order to further expand our international network of cooperation partners, we cordially invite members of higher education institutions worldwide to participate in this open call and share teaching practices that integrate gender and diversity perspectives across different disciplines. Selected contributions will be published on the English version of our website.
You want to know how such a publication could look like? Please check out our selection of good practices in diversity-conscious teaching at the German or Spanish website.

The Toolbox Gender and Diversity in Teaching is an Open Educational Resource offering a wide range of practical suggestions, background information and materials for designing gender- and diversity-sensitive teaching. The platform addresses teaching staff and all those interested in higher education with the aim of strengthening gender and diversity awareness as a cross-cutting dimension of university teaching. The website is currently available in German, English, and Spanish.

Submitted examples should highlight innovative and transformative practices in higher education that promote more equitable, inclusive, and critical forms of teaching and learning. Contributions that address the following aspects will be particularly valued:
• Curriculum content with a focus on gender and diversity
• Inclusive and participatory teaching and learning methodologies
• Teaching strategies that are sensitive to context and student diversity
• Assessment practices based on principles of equity
• Teacher training in gender and diversity
• Other relevant pedagogical approaches (e.g. feminist and queer pedagogies, intersectionality)

• A description of the good practice
