Laura Volgger (she/her/none) is doing the Ph.D in Social and Political Sciences at the University of Innsbruck and is a doctoral  researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Gender Research. Volggers research interests centre on feminist political theories of violence, feminist epistemology, regimes of silence, queer-feminist materialism, and empirically based research on gender-based violence. In the doctoral thesis, Volgger examines how lived experiences of sexualized violence and knowledge about it are normalized and rendered invisible through regimes of silence in heteronormative-patriarchal capitalist and bio_necropolitical state orders. Volgger is part of the research project “Explorative Study on Sexualized Violence in Close Social Relations in South Tyrol” at the Center for Interdisciplinary Gender Research of University of Innsbruck.
