Project promotions in the area of Gender Studies
Financed from the budget of the Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies (IZG), whose tasks has been taken over by the Margherita von Brentano Center, four innovative projects in the area of Gender Studies will be promoted between 2016 and 2018.
These projects were chosen in the course of a competition for ideas ("Ideenwettbewerb") by Research Project Team at the Margherita von Brentano Center. All of the projects serve as preparation for future external funding applications.
The promoted projects are:
- “Imaginaries of gender and sexuality on the move” from Yener Bayramoğlu M.A. (prom.), Institute for Media and Communication Studies
- “Bridging Environments: United by Food?” from Dr. Renata Campos Motta, Institute for Latin American Studies
- “Family across cultures. New perspectives towards a global early modern period” from Jun.-Prof. Dr. Claudia Jarzebowski, Friedrich-Meinecke-Institute
- “‘Sick Men of East Asia’ – Masculinities in Twentieth Century China, Japan, and Korea” from Dr. Nicolas Schillinger, Seminar of East Asian Studies, Sinology – China Studies
