Agenda - Catalog of Lectures in Gender and Diversity Studies

AGENDA Course Catalog Gender & Diversity Studies

AGENDA Course Catalog Gender & Diversity Studies

What is Agenda?

Each semester, the Margherita von Brentano Center (previously the Center for the Promotion of Women’s and Gender Studies, or ZEFG) compiles a list of all courses at Freie Universität that discuss research findings from Gender Studies, Diversity Studies, and Queer Studies. With Agenda (currently online only), the MvBZ provides a subject-independent reference guide for all students interested in the interdisciplinary field of Women’s and Gender Studies (and gender, diversity, and queer themes). This listing is made available every semester in the online lecture catalog and in print. The publication of the print version aims to raise the visibility of the course offerings in question and to build on the unannotated presentation within the electronic course catalog.

Inga Nüthen and Heike Pantelmann have written an essay about Agenda’s history, development, and creation. You can download it here as a PDF (only available in German).

Pool of Teaching Assignments”

To encourage scholarly teaching of findings in Women’s and Gender Studies (on gender, diversity, and queer topics), Freie Universität provides additional central funds for up to thirteen teaching assignments per semester. Each academic department and central institute may apply for funding from the Margherita von Brentano Center for generally one or two teaching assignments.
